Certificate III in Sport and Recreation |
The Certificate III in Sport and Recreation is recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as being the level of an unsupervised employee and is the minimum level recognised by industry for entry level instructors conducting their own classes in either martial arts, surfing or the gym.
SRS30106 Certificate III in Sport & Recreation - martial arts instructing & Intermediate surfing / Surfing Instructor (overseas students only)
All programs require: 1) The course is for mature and committed people wishing to develop a career in the area of recreational surfing, surfing instruction or martial arts instruction, and 2) Basic English skills, which equates to one of the following:
i. 1 year full time secondary study in the English language within the last 5 years ii. English language proficiency level of IELTS 4, or iii. English language proficiency level of ISLPR 1+/2, or iv. English language proficiency level of TOEFL 300-425
3) For the intermediate program students must have a basic level of Martial Arts or Surfing experience. Surfing students must be able to swim 200 metres and tread water for 5 minutes, and 4) Certificate II in Sport & Recreation and Senior First Aid Course, or equivalent, must be completed prior to commencing the Certificate III in Sport & Recreation. 5) Certificate II in Sport & Recreation and Senior First Aid Course, or equivalent, must be completed prior to commencing the Certificate III in Sport & Recreation.
