Certificate II in Sport & Recreation |
The Certificate II in Sport & Recreation has been designed to cater for individuals wanting to focus on developing their career in the surfing or martial arts sector, either as a competitor or as an instructor. This qualification is also recommended to amateur athletes who are involved in administering a club or business and its records, as well as being an assistant instructor. Electives currently offered are for martial arts competitors or enthusiasts and for surfing enthusiasts.

Duration: Approximately 6 months - 20weeks
Cost Enrolment Fee: $200.00 (Non-Refundable) Course Fee: Martial Arts Program $3,850.00 Surfing Program $3,850.00
Pay in Full - Pay the full amount + $200.00 with no further course fees payable for the duration of the course.
Payment Plan - In order to make fees manageable for students we have a payment system where fees can be direct debited from your nominated bank account or credit card on a monthly basis. An administration fee of $50.00 applies to this service.
Once the enrolment fee of $200.00 has been paid a 1/3 deposit is required to secure your enrolment, please note that this fee is also non-refundable. The remaining balance will be direct debited from your nominated bank account each month for 6 months.
Pre-requisites 1) The course is for mature and committed people wishing to develop a career in the area of recreational surfing or martial arts, and 2) Basic English skills, which equates to one of the following:
(i) 1 year full time secondary study in the English language within the last 5 years (ii) English language proficiency level of IELTS 4, or (iii) English language proficiency level of ISLPR 1+/2, or (iv) English language proficiency level of TOEFL 300-425
3) Previous experience in Martial Arts or Surfing is not required however a suitable level of fitness is essential to be able to participate in these programs. The ability to surf is not required as this is a "learn to surf" program. Surfing students must be able to swim 200 metres and tread water for 5 minutes, and 4) Have undertaken 11 years of schooling (equivalent to Year 11 in Australia).
